Internet
of
Things
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data.* To save the installation and maintenance costs, wireless technologies like NFC, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, ISM, cellular 4G TLE and the low-power wide-area network, LPWAN which includes SigFox, LoRa, and Weightless, are widely applied for connection and exchange the data for commodity logistics, production lines, power networks, medical equipment and transportation management applications. The emerging NB-IoT, EC-GSM, LTE-Cat M1 and cellular 5G communication are expected to further boost the IoT development.
