What are combo antennas?
Multi band antennas, also known as combo antennas, are devices that combine more than one antenna system and are designed to operate in multiple frequency bands. They're produced to have one part active for a specific frequency band, GPS/GNSS for example, and another part active for an alternative frequency band, usually cellular communication and/or Wi-Fi. Multi band antennas are larger in size than single band antennas to accommodate the variety of bands located on the antenna. A qualified combo antenna is able to provide precise target frequencies with good signal quality and avoids internal interferences.
What are multi-band antennas use for?
Multi-band antennas are designed to operate on several bands like VHF high band and UHF. They're also used for cellular, 4G, 3G and Wi-Fi frequencies and are suitable for any application where there is a device connected to the internet or a telecommunication network. Multi-band antennas allow various groups of their operating frequencies to be selected electronically. Types of multi-band antennas

So waterproof, UV proof and omnidirectional are important for outdoor antennas. An antenna with rugged metal base is especially best for industrial purposes.
